Bishop Castle, RUSA Routes #1712 and #1713 – Colorado City/Walsenburg, CO
Southern Colorado loop around Greenhorn Mountain. Plains, mountains, desert and pine forest. Lots of climbing. Passes by Bishop Castle, but you probably won’t have time to stop and visit. Four options so you can choose start location and preferred direction.

New Mexico

Capulin Volcano 200k, RUSA Route #1711 – Raton, NM
Rural in northeast New Mexico route with a short jaunt into Colorado. Visits Capulin Volcano National Monument.

Oklahoma

Stillwater Fairfax Lollipop 209, RUSA Route #2145 – Stillwater, OK
This is a rolling route that starts and finishes in Stillwater, OK and goes through several small towns northeast of Stillwater. Services aren’t scarce. You’ll ride through a small town every 20-30 miles. The route is reversible, so you can choose whether to ride the loop from Pawnee in a clockwise or counter-clockwise direction.
