The 2006 Grand Teton 50 was my first ultra. This is a beautiful course and we had perfect weather last year. It is also great to be able to walk from your hotel room to the start line. If you have family or friends who want to come support there are lots of opportunities for them to see you right at the base aid station. Honestly though, the volunteers at this race are so great you really don’t need crew. I can’t wait to try the 100.
Leadville 100
The Leadville 100 is the first ultra I heard about, around 1993, and what piqued my interest in ultrarunning. At the time I could not believe that people did this, but I knew I wanted to try. To me it is the pinnacle of 100 mile races. I crewed for the first time last year and having witnessed it first hand I know it is an amazing feat just to finish. I won’t be running myself this year so I am available to crew.

Jemez Mtn 50 Mile
I love New Mexico and the area around Jemez is beautiful. This should be a fun race. It is another that is within easy driving distance.
