Ik vertrok vroeg uit Eindhoven omdat slecht weer werd verwacht. Ik was rond 10 km van mijn bestemming voordat het regende. Gelukkig was ik naast een groot brug en dus was gestopt toen het begon met bakken uit de lucht vallen. Ik praatte gezellig met een vrouw bijna hetzelfde leeftijd als ik die op een racefiets was. Een heel raar ding in Nederland maar niet nogal zo raar in België. Tussen buien kwam ik uiteindelijk naar mijn slaapplaats.

I left from Eindhoven very early. I was around 6 miles from my destination before it started to rain. Luckily I was near a large bridge and was stopped when it started to rain hard. I had a nice chat with a woman about my age who was riding a road bike. That is a rare thing in the Netherlands, but not quite so unusual in Belgium. Between rain showers I finally made it to my stopping place for the day.
