Hippolytushoef – Hiaure (door Leeuwarden), 29 juni

Het weer was niet te slecht en gelukkig had ik windje mee over de Afsluitdijk. Er was een beetje motregen in Leeuwarden. Ik fietste ten noorden van Hiaure langs de kust. Ik vond de moeras prachtig! Ik reed om toen ik tegen de fietspad bedekte met 7 cm schaap schijt kwam. Na 116km fietsen kwam ik in Hiaure aan. Ik viel in slaap binnen de leuk pipowagen voor 7 uur ‘s avonds.

The weather wasn’t too bad and luckily I had a tailwind over the Afsluitdijk. There was a little drizzle in Leeuwarden. I biked north of Hiaure along the coast. The wetlands were beautiful. I detoured around the bike path covered with 3 inches of sheep shit. After 116km I arrived in Hiaure. I was asleep inside the cozy pipowagen before 7PM.

Een echte geweldige dag op de fiets. De duinen waren prachtig en Schagen een mooie stad.

Texel eiland, 27 juni

Vanochtend regende het veel. Het was bijna 2 uur ‘s middags voordat ik op mijn fiets vertrok. Ik reed door mooie dorpen op Texel en langs de Waddenzee. Doordat het al zo laat was, fietste ik niet door de duinen maar zag ze als ik terug naar het veer reed. Met wind mee was ik al heel snel terug in mooie Hippolytushoef.

This morning it rained a lot. It was almost 2 o’clock in the afternoon before I left on my bike. I rode through beautiful villages on Texel and along the Wadden Sea. Because it was already so late, I didn’t bike through the dunes, but saw them as I rode back to the ferry. With a tailwind, I was quickly back in beautiful Hippolytushoef.
